Mark Larkin

Mark Larkin is Chief Operating Officer & President at Group Black, one of the largest collectives of Black-owned media and diverse creators. In this role, he oversees Group Black’s media operations and business strategy. Larkin has over 25 years of experience in media. As president of CNET Media, he drove innovation and growth across editorial, product, sales, and engineering to create engaging experiences for audiences and brands. Before Red Ventures' acquisition of CNET Media, Larkin’s influence reached many corners of the CBS Interactive business. Larkin was named Vice President and General Manager of CBSNews.com where he developed online programming such as “60 Minutes Overtime” and nearly tripled traffic during his tenure. In 2014, Larkin was named Senior Vice President and General Manager of CBS Interactive Tech. In this role, he significantly expanded its programming across all platforms and evolved CNET Media from a consumer electronics vertical to the world’s largest technology media brand covering the vital role tech plays in every area of modern life. In 2020, the site had the largest traffic in its 25-year history and attracted more than two times larger audience than its closest competitors.
